The Use of Stainless Steel Crowns in Paediatric Dentistry
Click >>HERE<< to register
Early childhood caries is the most common disease in children. Restoring deciduous teeth is essential as soon as possible to prevent dental infection, early extraction and malocclusion. All these problems can easily be prevented by restoring the carious primary molars as early as possible. However, due to challenge in behavior issues as children might not cope with extensive restorations or when it is difficult to maintain a good moisture control for composite restorations, a new technique called ‘Hall Technique’ helps in arresting the carious process. The technique will be discussed in detail with the latest research on its effectiveness. Other uses of stainless steel crowns will be mentioned as well.
